A couple of future-focused designers, Michal Vlcek and Klavir, have dreamed up a futuristic eco car that is propelled entirely by photosynthesis. The dome-shaped interior of the car is home to a mini-jungle of plants, and their energy powers the motor.
While we think it would be totally and completely awesome for our personal transportation to be powered by micro forests, we're not sure exactly how the mechanics of such a machine is actually going to work - for that matter neither are the designers.
The auto world is constantly looking for designers and concept cars for the bursts of inspiration and vision that they provide. Most concepts have at least some sort of technological plans, even a vague idea, for their implementation, however if Michal Vlcek and Klavir have a feasible schematic for their plant-powered vehicle, they are keeping the details to themselves.
The designers note in their description that the car has a special kind of solar panel that assists the plants in their photosynthesis process. The plant's photosynthesis would then somehow power an electric motor. The design of the vehicle is completely made of (hopefully recycled) plastic and the control system is made up of a joystick instead of a wheel - which would be ridiculously fun minus the learning curve. All skepticism aside, everyone here at Green Guide Network would love quietly buzzing around surrounded by our own personal forest.
