Position Overview:
Telvent is seeking an experienced and motivated NA Senior Sales Manager to manage our North America water / wastewater utilities sales team. The position will focus on growing our existing core product lines within the water / wastewater utilities community as well selling into new markets.
Responsibilities:
*Manage team of Business Development managers
*Establish multiple contacts at various levels within organizations
*Develop account plans that help existing and new customers identify weaknesses within their organization that can be addressed and alleviated through capabilities of Telvent products and services using a consultative selling approach focusing on process and strategic improvement
*Clearly identify and establish goals, present strategic initiatives and details of Telvent capabilities and unrelentingly drive to desired outcomes
*Provide feedback to the rest of the organization on how to better satisfy client needs
*Develop new markets as needed
*Participate in appropriate industry venues
Qualifications:
*BA / BS Degree required
*5+ years proven and consistent sales experience using a consultative approach to introduce, create a need and a vision of a solution in the mind of the customer that includes intangible and high-value information services
*Demonstrated ability to identify, communicate and understand business issues with executive level management; flexibility to sell to all levels of management
*Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, follow up, presentation, and account management skills
*5+ years experience with water / wastewater utilities industry
*Self motivated; excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
