This Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, the music, arts and green living worlds will converge in Southern California for The Do LaB's reality-expanding 6th annual Lightning in a Bottle Festival. The four day, three night festival will once again be held on 100 sprawling acres of hills, trees and reservoirs at beautiful Oak Canyon Ranch, located just one hour south of Los Angeles and 45 minutes north of San Diego.
Lightning in a Bottle, which has been described in the press as an enlightened cross between Coachella and Burning Man, was recently named a recipient of the prestigious European Festival Awards’ Outstanding Greener Festival Award.
With a lineup that is equal parts music, art and green culture, Lightning in a Bottle will offer activities spread throughout the festival, including three stages of live music, green living workshops providing easy, Do-It-Yourself lessons on creating a healthy, low-cost, sustainable lifestyle, visionary speakers and yoga and dance classes.
In addition, there will also be organic food vendors, art installations, children’s activities, live performance troupes, and Lightning in a Paintcan, where local artists transform over-sized mural panels into paintings which are then sold in a silent auction with the proceeds benefiting the Do Lab’s brand new non-profit organization, The DoArt Foundation. The Foundation is a social enterprise dedicated to developing artist-audience relationships throughout local and international communities.
Tickets are available in advance starting at $195 for a three day pass online at http://lightninginabottle.org/buy-tickets/.
